Denver Indian Center, Inc.

The Denver Indian Center, Inc., or DICI, provides community support services to the American Indian, Alaskan Native, and Native Hawaiian communities of the Denver Metro Area. The Denver Indian Center, Inc. was founded in 1983 with the mission of creating a cultural gathering center geared towards preserving and celebrating the Native culture, providing much needed support, and meeting the unique needs of the Native community. Support services include, but are not limited to, personalized mentorship, community based counseling, economic empowerment courses, GED educational assistance, employment assessment, internship opportunities, skill and resume building, job referrals and placement, food bank, parenting classes, relationship guidance, transportation aid, and much more. Denver Indian Center, Inc. also provides connections and referrals to individuals needing assistance outside of their scope of care. These Native-based programs are available to individuals, youth, families, and elders alike, so long as they are a member of a federally recognized tribe.
