Elevate Community City takes a multifaceted approach to building and maintaining a strong community that cares for everyone. They are most committed to serving those typically overlooked by society, included justice involved people, those living in poverty and those experiencing housing crisis. One of their newest programs is a free financial literacy course that provides one on one support for those who face continual barriers to self-sufficient, independent living. Another of their programs, Re-Enter and Elevate, is a 6 week program designed to support individuals during and after release from correctional facilities. Their workshops focus on cognitive behavioral changes, personal responsibility and conflict management. All participants in the reentry program also receive job training and assistance entering the workforce after incarceration. Certain individuals may also be eligible for certain legal services, including assistance with restoring rights, pro bono legal representation and help expunging records.
