The Empowerment Program’s mission is to provide holistic support for individuals and promote healthy living from the inside out. They empower participants to make safe and informed decisions using behavioral health support for trauma and gender transition. Program services include group therapy, behavioral health services, HIV support and housing services. The Still They Rise program is one of three criminal justice programs facilitated by the Empowerment Program. Incarcerated individuals can enter the program pre-release for support and services designed to promote reentry and reduce recidivism. Project Bedtime Story, another criminal justice program, gives incarcerated parents the ability to share bedtime stories with their children during incarceration. Individuals can apply for services on the program website or contact staff for assistance.
