Escaping Time exhibits Art from U.S. Prisons and sells artworks created within prison walls nationwide. Through art, they work to change the narrative and break the stereotype of what society imagines when thinking about the incarcerated. They send Fifty percent of the proceeds of original works to the artists themselves. Interspersed throughout the exhibition are facts and statistics confronting issues that people face in prison and upon release, and their volunteer staff consists of people who have been impacted by the criminal justice system.
