Section Title

Free World Bound

Free World Bound is an organization which works to facilitate the treatment of HIV and AIDS for individuals impacted by the justice system. They serve incarcerated and formerly incarcerated individuals who are currently living with or who are high-risk for contracting HIV or AIDS, as well as ethnic minorities outside the system who may lack access to proper medical care. Free World Bound acts as a connection between individuals in need and the medical practitioners who give them the best opportunity for successful treatment. They can assist individuals with obtaining medication for HIV, as well as housing and transportation services. The program provides emergency funding for individuals, referrals and connections to community services, support for behavioral health treatment, and transitional services for individuals exiting the corrections system. Incarcerated individuals can coordinate services with Free World Bound through parole or probation officers, medical providers, social workers or through direct contact with program representatives either through the website or by phone.
