Fresh Start

Fresh Start is a community based program that works to address housing insecurity and assist individuals experiencing homelessness. They are a nonprofit whose mission is to provide essential support to individuals who have housing insecurity, families living in shelters and individuals who struggle to enter the workforce. Fresh Start operates a number of programs designed to assist all individuals in need regardless of their situation. The Re-Entry program lasts six to eight months and assists individuals with the specific barriers that individuals with criminal convictions face during the reentry process. The Entrepreneurship program lasts sixteen works and support participants by providing vocational services that help individuals obtain and maintain stable employment. Finally, the Financial Education program spans twelve weeks and prepares individuals to better manage their finances and develop a self-sufficient way of life.
