Gina’s Team

Gina's Team is a nonprofit organization that focuses on Getting Inmates Needs Addressed for incarcerated women in Arizona's Perryville State Prison. Gina's Team was founded in 2009 by Chris and Diane Panetta, in remembrance of their daughter, Gina Panetta who passed away in 2003 from undiagnosed leukemia while still incarcerated. Gina's Team serves incarcerated women using their ATHENA Leadership Model, which has no cost to the participants. This curriculum runs for six weeks and teaches women how to live more authentically, be self reliant, grow their leadership skills, and ultimately provides the much needed motivation for reintegration success. Their program currently has a prison return rate of less than 5%, and has indirectly impacted thousands of children of the women participants of their programs. Gina's Team advocates for the forgotten population, and focuses on ensuring that these women leave prison with the self growth and empowerment they learned in the ATHENA program. Contact Gina's Team directly for more information on their services.
