Hale Kipa is a multi-faceted, fully accredited nonprofit organization that specializes in working with at risk youth and their loved ones, who often have nowhere else to turn. Hale Kipa has provided services to more than 67,000 young people across Hawai‘i since its establishment in 1970 as a single shelter on O‘ahu. This includes working in collaboration with public agencies and community organizations to offer residential, outreach, and foster care services at no cost to participants. With programs that are flexible and evolve to changing needs, Hale Kipa supports young adults involved in juvenile justice, behavioral health, education and child welfare. Their goals include stabilizing young people who are experiencing crisis and assisting youth and families to build resiliency and to start on a pathway to success in their lives.
