Healthy Reentry facilitates the Rx Outreach program, which assists formerly incarcerated individuals with obtaining medications. Rx Outreach is a nonprofit endeavor with a mission to ensure that justice involved individuals do not go without proper medications as they transition back into the community after incarceration. Staff understand that securing health insurance may be difficult for many with criminal convictions, especially in the weeks directly after incarceration. They work to act as a bridge program, supporting individuals during the most vulnerable part of reintegration and removing at least one barrier to wellness. All prescription medications are provided to individuals through partner healthcare providers at no cost to program participants. Additionally, Rx Outreach maintains the Serving Those Who Serve Others program, which assists with securing medications at little to no cost for children and adult dependents in need.
