Hope Empowerment Education & Training Project

Innovative Treatment Alternatives, Inc. (ITA) is a non-profit, faith-based corporation established in 1992. Under ITA, the Hope Empowerment Education and Training Project focuses on the education and training needs of the Nicetown-Tioga Community. They cater to the unique needs of disenfranchised individuals, seniors, veterans, and families who lack resources, education, and employability skills. The mission of the Hope Empowerment Education and Training Project is to reduce relapse and recidivism among individuals involved in the behavioral health, criminal justice, and shelter systems. In order to fulfill this mission, ITA makes referrals for permanent/supportive housing, behavioral health, dental and medical treatment. They also offer case management, computer literacy, GED/HiSet preparation, employment readiness, job training, and supportive services to help reduce major barriers to independence and self-sufficiency. With all of these resources and services, ITA is attempting to promote resiliency. They offer a holistic housing first approach that begins with a comprehensive confidential assessment of individualized needs such as behavioral health, education, family, legal, medical, social, and employability. In this way, clients are given the opportunity to rehabilitate and reintegrate within a safe, educational, and uplifting environment.
