Idaho Innocence Project

The Idaho Innocence Project is housed in the Forensic Justice Project program at Boise State University and assists incarcerated individuals. Their mission is to identify and support individuals who are incarcerated due to wrongful conviction. Staff and volunteers offer thorough research services, education for the community and litigation support for individuals with evidence of wrongful conviction. Though housed at Boise State University, the Idaho Innocence Project has partnered with individuals across the country, as well as several in Europe. The Idaho Innocence Project will not consider correspondence from loved ones. Only incarcerated individuals who maintain their innocence are eligible to request assistance from the organization. These individuals must write the organization directly. Additionally, only individuals with five or more years left on their sentences and who lack representation are eligible for support through the Idaho Innocence Project. Individuals are advised not to provide legal documents through the mail, as they documents may not be returned.
