Human Services Administration Organization offers a broad variety of services to uplift individuals and families through personalized support. Some of these services are specifically designed to support justice-impacted people. They assist in preventing individuals from returning to incarceration by offering services before and after release from a correctional facility. Their services in the Allegheny County Jail include job development, life skills, family and relationship development guidance, GED preparation, basic and vocational educational opportunities for adults, housing preparation, drug and alcohol treatment, behavioral modification counseling, mentorship, connection with probation officers and preparation for successful reintegration. Individuals may be eligible to receive individualized case management services, referral to treatment facilities and other intensive support services. Those in recovery for chemical dependence participate in a screening and evaluation to determine the best level of support necessary for treatment. Since case management is entirely voluntary, it is required that participants commit to treatment in order to receive services. Individuals can contact the organization directly for more information or to discuss eligible services.
