Legal Aid of Arkansas

Legal Aid is a nonprofit organization that provides free legal services to low-income individuals residing in the state of Arkansas in civil (non-criminal) cases. The mission of Legal Aid of Arkansas is to champion equal justice for low‐income individuals and communities and to remedy the conditions that burden and marginalize them. Legal Aid assists clients in priority areas, such as family law, consumer issues, bankruptcy or evictions. LSC works to ensure equal access to justice, and provide quality legal assistance to individuals who could not afford legal counsel otherwise. Beyond Opioids is a statewide project led by Center for Arkansas Legal Services (CALS) and Legal Aid of Arkansas (Legal Aid) focused on providing FREE attorneys to Arkansans struggling with substance use disorder (SUD) in the family and needing assistance in civil, not criminal, matters. LSC also provides comprehensive fair housing education and outreach services throughout the state. Legal Aid Attorneys advocate not only for individual client cases, but also advocate for their client's communities to work towards creating a system that is inclusive for all.
