Legal Aid of Southeastern PA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing legal support for indigent clients in southeast Pennsylvania. The understand the difficulties associated with returning to the community after incarceration, and how criminal records can create significant barriers to independent living. For this reason, volunteer legal aids assist justice involved individuals with records expungement, clean slate applications, and pardons. Their Community Engagement Unit was established specifically to work with clients who qualify for clearing a criminal record. Individuals living in Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery counties may qualify for pro bono assistance depending on their income level. Eligible individuals must demonstrate that they are living at or below 125% of the federal poverty level during the intake process.
