Metropolitan Community College’s 180 Re-entry Assistance Program (180 RAP)

Metropolitan Community College’s 180 Re-entry Assistance Program supports both currently and formerly incarcerated individuals. The college works with currently incarcerated individuals, offering for-credit courses in the following correctional facilities: Omaha Correctional Center, Reception & Treatment Center, Tecumseh State Correctional Institution, Nebraska Correctional Youth Facility, and Nebraska Correctional Center for Women. At each of these sites, eligible individuals can take coursework in business and entrepreneurship, college foundations, tradecraft, and technology. Additionally, some work release individuals may be eligible to register for on-campus classes. Once released, individuals can make use of wraparound services for returning citizens, including referrals to various social service organizations dedicated to easing the transition back into the community. Metropolitan Community College 180 Re-Entry Assistance includes a pantry and resource center where participants have access to basic necessities and support obtaining government identification and/or accessing government benefits.
