Section Title

Michigan Council on Crime and Delinquency

Michigan Council on Crime and Delinquency is an organization that studies and reports on the intersection of public safety and youth. The organization provides numerous programs which offer evidence based support services to justice impacted adults and young people. Their Michigan Reentry Resource Center recommends and assists with the Michigan Prisoner Reentry Initiative, a program developed to offer strategic support to individuals who are returning to the community after incarceration. Services promote stronger, safer communities and the best opportunity for a successful reintegration. The Michigan Juvenile Justice Collaborative works to promote new legislation and policies that support justice involved youth, prevent at risk youth from entering the justice system and increase community awareness around the most effective interventions for young people. They also operate the Inner-City Neighborhood Program, an initiative designed to reduce crime and increase employment opportunities for formerly incarcerated individuals who have returned to their communities in Detroit, Grand Rapids, Saginaw, and Benton Harbor.
