National Alliance Against Racist & Political Repression

The National Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression is a collaborative formed to combat system oppression and injustice. The organization was founded in Chicago to protect underserved individuals in the community who were experiencing violence and discrimination due to political affiliation and race. Since its inception more than fifty years ago, the alliance has spread across the nation and expanded its fight for justice. Staff and volunteers work in communities to develop community policing options, advocate for the release of political prisoners and individuals who have not been convicted, eliminate abuse and assault at the hands of the police, eliminate the death penalty and address systemic discrimination. They also advocate for humane treatment of incarcerated individuals and access to necessary health care while incarcerated and raise awareness about the prison industrial complex as a threat to communities of color. For more information about specific efforts, contact the local chapter in your community using the information provided on the website.
