New Happenings Ministry Camp

Section Title

New Happenings Ministry Camp

New Happenings Ministry Camp is an annual camp introducing children to compassion and grace through bible-based teachings. The camp includes a full week of programming at no cost to eligible families. Children must be between the ages of 8 and 11 to participate in the camp, and families must agree to allowing children to remain at the camp overnight for the duration of programming. Most children who participate in the program are from Northern Indiana communities and many have first-hand experience with incarcerated parents. Staff and volunteers of New Happenings Ministry Camp hope to assist children with building positive relationships with peers who understand the trauma of incarceration and instill faith through ministry. Their hope is to disrupt the cycle of generational incarceration and intervene into children's lives before they enter the justice system. For more information about the upcoming camp, visit the organization website or contact the New Happenings Ministry Director.
