Section Title

New Life Transitions of Northern Illinois

New Life Transitions of Northern Illinois provides services and support to individuals reentering the community after incarceration. They are a small organization working to respond to research and statistics around the factors that most contribute to recidivism. Staff work with each client to determine which services will most benefit them and increase their chance at permanent reentry into the community. Common support services include transitional housing assistance, job development training, vocational services, life skills development and counseling for underlying factors that contribute to incarceration. Their RISE program is specifically designed to provide assistance to individuals with cognitive features that lead to deviant behavior and increase the chance of re-incarceration. New Life Transitions of Northern Illinois is committed to lowering incarceration and recidivism rates in the community, and encourages community members to help facilitate their work. For more information about specific services available through the organization, individuals should contact them directly.
