Open City Advocates

Open City Advocates is a community based organization that advocates for the rights and protections of young people in the justice system. Their mission is to address two major problems in the juvenile justice system by: offering adequate and passionate representation and mentoring to youth in the justice system, and advocate for systemic reform to juvenile justice that ensures greater access to equitable justice for young people. Attorneys with Open City Advocates understand that youth in the juvenile justice system often do not have access to counsel after being sentenced, despite young people routinely requiring representation to address the treatment and placement of youth in the corrections system. They are dedicated to providing counsel to at risk and indigent youth before and during incarceration, advocating for the rights of their clients throughout their time in the corrections system.
