Oxford House Hawaii is a nonprofit corporation that offers a sober living environment to individuals overcoming drug and alcohol addiction. Although Oxford House is an umbrella organization, this particular chapter is located in Honolulu, Hawaii. The mission of all Oxford Houses is to provide a network to connect all houses, allocate resources where needed, and duplicate the concept where needed, and ultimately provide individuals in recovery the opportunity to develop sobriety without releasing. Each Oxford House facility is self supported and democratically run. All participants of the program must contribute financially, share in housework, abide by house rules and cultivate a communal environment in order to maintain residency. Ideal candidates already have 30 days sobriety under their belt and must have a way to support themselves.
