Reach for Youth is a community based program that works to intervene and provide positive programming for at risk youth. They strive to be a source of hope for young people, their loved ones and the community during difficult times. As a Youth Service Bureau, the organization is dedicated to: supporting, representing and protecting the rights of youth; preventing juvenile crime; maintaining a referral-based system for young people so loved ones have targeted and effective resources; educating the community about issues that affect young people and the services available to them. The organization provides first-time, non-violent youth with criminal convictions a second chance to change the trajectory of their lives. They coax students barred from local schools back from the mindset that dropping out is their only option. They assist youth and their loved ones as they work through substance abuse and the process of redirecting their paths toward a new course.
