Southeast Louisiana Legal Services

Section Title

Southeast Louisiana Legal Services

Southeast Louisiana Legal Services provides essential litigation support for low income and underserved individuals. The goal of the organization is to ensure that all individuals have equal access to justice regardless of income or social status. Staff and volunteers reach this goal through a variety of support services for individuals facing civil court matters. At this time, however, Southeast Louisiana Legal Services is not able to offer advice or representation for individuals facing criminal charges or seeking appeal. Some of the civil services offered by the organization include assistance eliminating barriers to independent living, such as help acquiring public benefits, representation in matters regarding eviction or housing insecurity, assistance leaving domestic violence situations and counsel for individuals facing barriers to proper medical care. All services offered by Southeast Louisiana Legal Services are pro bono and offered to qualifying individuals at no charge. For more information, contact the organization directly or complete the online form.
