SVDP Attleboro Reentry

SVDP Attleboro Reentry is comprised of local volunteers working to help incarcerated neighbors, and their families, in need to be more successful as they inevitably return to nearby communities. These volunteers are members of parish-based Vincentian Conferences, grouped regionally as the District Council of Attleboro, within the Diocesan Council of Fall River Massachusetts. They have helped over 1500 returning citizens and family members in Southeastern Massachusetts with basic reentry needs such as housing, transportation, licensing, education, employment, food, clothing and furniture. The Attleboro Reentry Vincentians do a lot of work with the mental health and substance abuse community, facilitating face-to-face engagement, both behind bars, and outside the walls. This is known by most Vincentians as making home visits. They try to connect people with agencies and support groups that provide needed services. One Vincentian motto is “there is no form of charity foreign to the society”. For more information on the services provided by SVDP Attleboro Reentry, please contact them directly.
