Tap Into Hope

TAP (Total Action for Progress) Into Hope is a private, non-profit corporation that works as a community action agency. They help individuals and families achieve sustainable, equitable economic and personal independence through education, employment, affordable housing, and safe and healthy environments. Tap Into Hope offers various Incarceration Re-Entry programs. Those Rentry programs are aims to help incarcerated people to transition back to the community. They assist with job training, job searches, interview preparation, transportation, rights restoration.  To be eligible for pre-or post-release services, you must be within six months of release. Reentry services are available to residents of the following areas such as Alleghany County, Botetourt County, Covington, Craig County, Roanoke City, Roanoke County and Salem. The Reentry Programs offered by TAP are WINGS (Women Initiating New Growth), A Second Chance (service areas: Alleghany, Buena Vista, Covington, Lexington, and Rockbridge) and Virginia CARES. They also have Adult Education and Employment Programs that offer courses where you may complete your GED, and they also offer training and services that lead to industry-recognized certifications.
