The Safe Place Foundation

The Safe Place Foundation is a community based organization dedicated to serving men who are ready to enter recovery and receive treatment. The organization offers a drug and alcohol-free living space with continuous staff support, community volunteer support and peer-to-peer mentorship. They operate a 40-bed program with five Phase One beds and 35 Phase Two beds. Their mission is to reconnect men in recovery with their communities, as well as help to facilitate family reunification whenever necessary. The Safe Place Foundation admissions process begins with an intake interview to establish each individuals history with substance abuse, current residential status and any existing support systems, etc. During this interview, those who require more care than the organization can provide may receive a referral to adjacent organizations with more resources at their disposal. Currently, only adult males over the age of 18 who are living without a homes are eligible for treatment in this program.
