University of Baltimore Innocence Project Clinic

University of Baltimore Innocence Project Clinic is managed by the Clinical Law Offices at the University of Baltimore School of Law. The clinic offers law students an opportunity to engage with real world legal matters related to the conviction and incarceration of innocent individuals. Students and mentors offer independent legal representation for incarcerated individuals who maintain their innocence. Only incarcerated individuals may request services. The University of Baltimore Innocence Project Clinic is associated with the Mid-Atlantic Innocence Project and asks that individuals not apply for representation through both organizations. At this time, the clinic reviews claims of factual innocence only from incarcerated individuals housed in Maryland correctional facilities. Their student-attorneys represent clients at all phases of analysis and representation in writs of actual innocence, as well as during post conviction petitions for DNA testing. For more information regarding eligibility, contact the organization directly using the information provided on the website.
