University of Mississippi Prison Education Outreach And Expungement clinics

University of Mississippi Prison Education Outreach And Expungement clinics operates a number of pro-bono legal initiatives. The goal of these clinics is to give law students an opportunity to interact directly with community members facing legal troubles while also ensuring that individuals who may otherwise lack access to representation have an outlet to pursue advice and understanding. DeSoto County Pro Se Days are scheduled clinics where attendees meet with law students and practicing lawyers to seek advice regarding pro se matters. The organization holds similar clinics in First Chancery District and Washington County in order to make the clinics as accessible as possible for residents. In addition to the various pro se clinics, the organization works with currently incarcerated individuals through the Prison Education Outreach program, improving access to legal advice for individuals pending trial or appealing their convictions. For more information about specific services, individuals should contact the organization directly.
