Volunteers of America Colorado

Volunteers of America Colorado is a state chapter of the national organization, focusing on supporting community members in crisis. One key initiative is providing housing and emergency services to individuals and families experiencing housing insecurity. According to their research, more than 8,000 people in Colorado experience homelessness every night. The mission of Volunteers of America Colorado is to provide as many community members as possible with safe housing in crisis. Staff understand the dangers of sleeping on the street for even one night, as well as the long term effects of housing insecurity. They hope to break the cycle of incarceration and poverty by ensuring that all community members have a place to call home. Individuals can contact the organization or use the website to locate the housing community that best fits their needs, from women's only residential areas to communities exclusively for individuals with small children. Questions should be directed to the program.
