Welcome Homes is part of the You Have the Power organization and focuses on support for citizens returning to the community after incarceration. The organization offers sober living environments, transitional services and individualized support to give them the best chance at reintegration. Each resident accepted into Welcome Homes lives in a privately owned home and works directly with a specially chosen team to address the specific barriers and challenges identified during the screening and application process. The team also works directly with community partners to connect residents with social services like job training and placement, treatment and recovery services for individuals with substance abuse or mental health disorders, and educational opportunities for individuals who would benefit from obtaining a GED or technical certificate.
