Wyoming County Public Defender

The Wyoming County Public Defender is an office operated by the state of New York which provides legal counsel to Wyoming County residents. More specifically, the office is tasked with ensuring legal representation for clients who are unable to afford a private attorney. Their attorneys are able to offer services for individuals facing criminal litigation, as well as those with matters for the Family court. Public Defenders provide legal services, including assistance completing documents, mounting a defense and negotiating resolutions with opposing attorneys. These services are offered at no charge to qualifying individuals and families. Prior to receiving services, individuals must participate in an intake interview with the Wyoming County Public Defender to determine financial and residential eligibility, as well as to determine the best method of representation for pending court matters. Those with questions about specific services or who are seeking representation should use the contact information provided on the organization website.
