Juneau Reentry Coalition

Description

The Juneau Reentry Coalition (JREC) is a collaboration of individuals, community members, and public agencies who support success for all justice-involved Alaskans. JREC collaborates with the Alaska Mental Health Trust Authority, Department of Corrections, Department of Health and Social Services, Department of Labor and Workforce Development to assess and mobilize resources for justice-involved individuals. The mission of the JREC is to promote public safety within the community by identifying and implementing strategies that increase the success of all justice-involved individuals and reduce recidivism. Community volunteers provide organizational leadership for the JREC. This leadership body is called the JREC Steering Team. In addition, they offer the ACR Program, which provides access to healthcare (physical health, mental health, and substance use treatment), employment, transportation, education and training, and housing. The Juneau Job Center compiles a comprehensive Juneau community resource list on its website. For more information on the services provided by the JREC, please get in touch with them directly.
