Garfield Residential Program

Garfield Residential Program

Description

The Garfield Residential Program is an initiative by the judicial branch of Arizona in Maricopa County. The program is designed to provide probationers in need with temporary, emergency, or transitional housing in a safe, drug-free environment; at the same time, they make the necessary adjustments to comply with the conditions of probation and move towards a stable, independent living situation. They accept male probationers with no history of sex offenses or arson and who are in need of stable housing in Maricopa County. The program offers a 26-bed transitional living center that offers a close working relationship with the Garfield Neighborhood Association, regularly providing community restitution work to the surrounding Garfield community. They also have an adult education center on-site, monitored on-site by a team of surveillance officers.
