COMEA House & Resource Center
Description
The Cooperative Ministry for Emergency Assistance is a faith based, collaborative organization committed to providing immediate assistance in times of crisis. Their emergency housing is available to all community members facing a housing crisis. More specifically, the Cooperative Ministry for Emergency Assistance offers three tiers of residential support. The Emergency Shelter is available to all community members and provides: safe place to sleep, shelter from the elements, a warm meal, a warm shower, and individualized case management. Transitional Housing is only available to single occupants and provides case management, transition services, some private sleeping, meals and showers during stay, and access to educational programs. Some families may be eligible for transitional housing based on an assessment from a family case manager. Those eligible receive services and assistance, private sleeping arrangements, meals, showers, and a family education program.
