Leap for Ladies is a community based organization committed to supporting women who have been impacted by the justice system. Their mission is to be a source of empowerment, healing and advocacy for formerly incarcerated women. Staff and volunteers with Leap for Ladies believe that all women deserve second chances, and that personal accountability is an essential part of breaking the cycle of incarceration. Their support begins inside the prison walls, where women are eligible to receive more than three hundred hours of education and mentorship to prepare for a successful return to the community. Once released, women have the opportunity to participate in job readiness services, trauma based counseling services, treatment for chemical dependence, housing support and access to a lifelong community of peers who support one another unconditionally.
