St. Croix Tribal Re-Integration Program
Description
St. Croix Tribal Center creates opportunities for all St. Croix Tribal members (Ojibwe people, Wisconsin’s native inhabitants) to lead self-sufficient and culturally strong lives while protecting the rights and responsibilities of the St. Croix Chippewa Tribe of Wisconsin as a sovereign nation. The St. Croix Tribal Reintegration Program is designed to help tribal members successfully reenter and remain in their communities after incarceration. They provide support, resources and development opportunities; most all will be based on culture and traditions. The center collaborates closely with service providers in Barron, Polk, Burnett and Washburn counties to empower participants with skills to maintain a sober and crime-free lifestyle. This organization provides educational opportunities with many degree options and classes to fit the needs. In addition, they offer health services, food, family planning services and other community services.
