HVAF of Indiana
Description
HVAF is a community based organization committed to supporting homeless veterans on their path to recovery and permanent housing. The cornerstone of their program is a safe, stable living environment where veterans can focus on addressing the barriers that they face and working toward self-sufficiency. HVAF offers three tiers of housing depending on individual needs, including emergency shelter, transitional housing and permanent housing. Each of these residential services centers on placing homeless veterans so that they can establish permanent homes and sustainable plans for independent living. This includes treatment for chemical dependence, as well as comprehensive and ongoing treatment for various mental health disorders. All clients begin with an intake interview to ensure that they receive the best services based on their present condition. For more information about specific services or to inquire about availability, individuals are encouraged to contact the organization directly using the information provided on this page.
