Heart of Iowa Community Services is a community based organization providing a broad range of mental healthcare. The organization is staffed and run by licensed practitioners who specialize in a number of treatment methodologies, including jail diversion, transitional living and children's services. HICS partners with local law enforcement officials and service organizations to prevent those experiencing brain health symptoms from being incarcerated. If an individual is arrested and is found to be experiencing a brain health issue, HICS connects that person with a coalition of service providers who can treat multifaceted brain health issues.
