RE-SHIFT

RE-SHIFT

Description

RE-SHIFT is a reintegration program offered to incarcerated individuals and their families as a way to educate them on the expectations and conditions of supervision after release. This program is a collaborative effort of Volunteers of America Residential Re-entry Center, and the U.S. Probation Office, for the Eastern District of Louisiana. RE-SHIFT's mission is to successfully help individuals and families transition on to community supervision with as little stress and anxiety as possible. Informational classes are provided to participants and their families as an opportunity to review the regulations of release, as well as have their concerns and questions addressed by probation officers. Because family participation is critical to the reentry process, RE-SHIFT allows and encourages participants to invite up to two adult family members to attend sessions with them. This inclusion will also allow families to address any questions they may have. Contact RE-SHIFT directly for more information on their services.
