Lafayette Bar Association and Foundation
Description
The Lafayette Bar Association and Foundation offers various free and low-cost legal services to the public. The Lafayette Bar Association and Foundation was established in 1969 as a volunteer-based legal association and currently serves over 900 members. A variety of legal services are offered to both members and the public, including but not limited to, mediation and conference room reservations, pro bono legal assistance, and year-round events. Pro se legal forms are also available for purchase for matters of divorce, custody, support, name change, and others. In addition, their Counsel on Call program through which patrons can receive a 15-minute consultation of legal advice is available free of charge for those who need it. While there are no in-office attorneys, a list of members and their category of legal expertise can be found on their website.
