Pine Street Inn is a community based organization dedicated to assisting individuals who are experiencing homelessness. Pine Street Inn. The organization collaborates with homeless individuals to assist them as they transition from homelessness and emergency shelter to a permanent home, and helps formerly homeless individuals in maintaining access to safe, stable housing. Staff offer: street outreach, emergency services, supportive housing, work training and connections to employment. They are tireless advocates for collaborative solutions to eradicate homelessness. Their services fall under three categories: emergency support, permanent housing and vocational development. The organization maintains more than 850 permanent homes for adult men and women in the greater Boston area, as well as strategic partnerships with social service organizations that provide housing options for veterans experiencing homelessness. Emergency housing helps to place individuals experiencing immediate housing insecurity or facing eviction with a safe space until they are able to secure permanent, independent housing.
