Alpha Prison Ministries is a faith based organization dedicated to offering spiritual guidance and support for incarcerated individuals. Their mission is to share the gospel with currently and formerly incarcerated individuals, fostering a strong relationship with God and a lifestyle guided by Christian principles. Alpha Prison Ministries is a small organization comprised of local volunteers, but their presence in correctional facilities over the past forty years has allowed them to positively impact thousands of justice involved individuals. Though volunteers currently work in just seven correctional facilities, they are always working to expand into Michigan's more than forty prisons and fourteen work camps. Their programming consists of three core areas: bible study for currently incarcerated people, Alpha House transitional housing services for returning citizens, and ongoing ministry for residents at Alpha House.
