Mental Health Association
Mental Health Association (MHA) is a community-based organization that provides a wide range of mental health services for individuals who live in Northern New Jersey. MHA achieves its mission as a community organization through advocacy, education, prevention, early intervention, treatment, and service. Additionally, they provide housing for individuals and families experiencing homelessness, treatment for people involved in the criminal justice system, physical health services, employment training, and roads to a better tomorrow through partial care. High quality counseling services are also offered to individuals and families struggling with grief, loss, depression and anxiety. Mental Health Association uses art therapy and arts-based activities to improve people's overall well-being. Community members are encouraged to spend online discussing mental health problems with their peers, as this provides a safe environment where people can receive immediate assistance and guidance in managing their mental health.
