Cocaine and Alcohol Awareness Program, Incorporated, or CAAP, Inc., is a nonprofit that provides behavioral and mental health disorder services to low-income people. Operating in five locations within Memphis, CAAP, Inc. assists individuals in overcoming chemical dependency, homelessness, domestic violence, victimization, and other self-defeating behavioral health and co-occurring mental health disorder issues. Additionally, the CAAP Courts System Initiative Program provides services to justice-involved individuals to eliminate criminal engagement. The program aims to decrease recidivism by utilizing behavioral health, mental health, primary health, and other social services to reduce the overall crime within Memphis and Shelby counties. Services offered to justice-involved individuals include: cognitive skills training, substance use disorders service, social skills, behavioral health services, moral reasoning, case management services, impulse management, affordable housing, primary case services, veterans' services, women health services and dental services.
