Texas Reach Out, Inc. is a faith-based nonprofit organization specializing in alternative housing for those released from prison and those experiencing homelessness due to unsuccessful reintegration into society after an extended prison stay. The services offered include: safe housing, an alcohol-free environment, spiritual guidance, twice-weekly Bible studies, and an employability evaluation for each participant. Texas Reach Out also connects participants with a Christian employment network to help them in their job search. Furthermore, participants can attend educational and vocational classes to better prepare for their new working life. In addition, Texas Reach Out offers life skill classes that focus on important topics such as communication, relationships, anger management and relapse prevention. The final phase of Texas Reach Out's program includes a continued relationship and care for participants after they have graduated and moved on. This includes providing them with support groups, Celebrate Recovery meetings, annual Christmas parties, Thanksgiving meals, and annual anniversary celebrations.
