Description
The New Hampshire Department of Corrections (NHDOC) operates a community corrections division that offers various transitional housing units. The North End House Transitional Housing Unit is a Community Corrections facility with minimal security in Concord, New Hampshire. The facility houses men charged with violating New Hampshire state and federal law. The North End Transitional Housing Unit is tasked with reforming the New Hampshire state prison population and empowering them to return to society as more productive and informed members. Its services include behavioral counseling, community building duties, and educational courses. In addition, the New Hampshire Transportation Department and the New Hampshire Fish and Wildlife Department collaborate on rehabilitation and education initiatives with the North End Transitional Housing Unit. The unit also offers a variety of corrective industry activities to its members, including the Waste Removal/Recycling Center, Meat Processing, and Cleaning Supplies Factory.
