Dismas Home of New Hampshire
Description
Dismas Home is a nonprofit organization that supports making New Hampshire safer for all community members. The organization gives formerly incarcerated people a second chance and the necessary resources to change their lives. It also helps previously incarcerated women transform their lives by providing a safe and supportive atmosphere. Dismas Home's mission is to do everything it takes to help residents recover and make positive changes to continue a lifetime of sincerity and recovery as contributing members of society. The association collaborates with colleges and universities, nonprofit organizations, community and civic organizations, specialists, and volunteers to give formerly incarcerated people the best chance of success in transitioning back into society in an organized, accountable environment. The objective of the transitional program is to provide residents with support through counseling, training, education, and other services. In addition, it collaborates closely with federal, state, and local organizations and correctional authorities to overcome the difficulties of reentering society.
