The Fremont Branch Office at the Alameda County Public Defender is devoted to serving indigent criminal defendants by vigorously advocating for the rights of individuals facing criminal charges. The Mission of the Alameda County Public Defender’s Office is to zealously protect and defend the rights of their clients through compassionate and inspired legal representation of the highest quality, in pursuit of a fair and unbiased system of justice for all. The office offers a wide range of services such as providing criminal defense in felony and misdemeanor case, investigation by a team of qualified investigators, serving clients in immigration, civil commitment unit, conservatorship/mental health unit, drug court, homeless court and parole re-entry court. The Alameda County Public Defender's office also provide guidance on Proposition 47, a California law that reduces some felonies to misdemeanors.
