Behavioral Systems Southwest (BSS) is made up of a collaborative of dedicated community correctional workers committed to assisting formerly incarcerated people break the cycle of incarceration and improve their lives using cognitive behavioral modification methodology. They offer full reintegration services to formerly incarcerated people in residential settings. Residential Re-entry Centers (RRC) are in partnership with the Federal Bureau of Prisons and use a social service model, as well as research-based programming designed to help formerly incarcerated people succeed. The average length of stay is 4-6 months, with the possibility of home confinement near the end of the term. BSS operates re-entry centers in California and Arizona. Eligible participants enter the program through coordination with the Federal Bureau of Prisons or supervising officers. The RRC in Florence is a 72-bed facility.
