Eureka Ministry, Inc. is a faith-based organization that provides a structured, supportive environment to assist formerly incarcerated people in becoming successful, law-abiding citizens. Emphasis is placed on developing men from the inside out through spiritual growth and character building. Eureka's M.E.R.G.E. (Making Education the Road to Gainful Employment) program prepares individuals to obtain gainful employment in their trade or a related profession that results in reduced recidivism, increased ability to support family, employment longevity and opportunities to escape poverty. Eureka's S.O.A.R. (Successful Outcomes After Release) program is designed to assist men and women with criminal backgrounds to locate and retain permanent housing. The housing facility is provided to residents of Winston Salem, N.C./Forsyth County area only. Other services at the SOAR program include payments towards utility bills, rent, rent deposits, financial assistance with moving expenses, food, and purchase of household items. The Men's Bridge is a supportive program to help incarcerated and recently released men prepare for a successful transition back into the community. The program includes a support group as well as individual mentoring. The mission of Men’s Bridge (MB) is to take a proactive approach to reduce recidivism by linking current and formerly incarcerated people with the community they will call home.
